Make Your Own Paperweight
Participant(s) will be introduced to glassblowing tools and equipment and
watch a demonstration.After choosing colors, the participant(s) will, with more or less hands-on guidance depending on age and
experience, make a paperweight. After annealing overnight, the
participant's work will be finished as studio time permits and then be available
for pick-up, or it can be shipped for a small charge. Requirements for the
lesson: Participant must be at least 15 years of age (participants under
18 must have a parent or guardian PRESENT), must wear a short or long
sleeve shirt of all-natural fibers, must wear closed -toe shoes, and bring a
water bottle and a comfortable pair of sunglasses (green lenses are best). This lesson is offered on a private lesson or
on a small group lesson basis. Contact the studio for registration and

Glassblowing: A Beginning
Offered as week or as a weekend experience, in
this workshop the participant(s) will become familiar with the equipment and
tools in a hot glass studio and will begin by making solid shapes such as
paperweights and small hand-held sculptural pieces. Participant(s) will
then begin to explore blowing a centered bubble, gathering, and creating a basic
blown vessel. Time permitting, annealed work will be finished by participants or
can finished and shipped for a small charge. Requirements for the
lesson: Participants must be at least 15 years of age (participants under
18 must have a parent or guardian PRESENT), must wear a short or long
sleeve shirt of all-natural fibers, must wear closed-toe shoes, bring a water
bottle and a

Studio Rental:
As time permits, rental time may be available to experienced persons for hot
glass, coldworking, or finishing. Contact the studio for
availability and rates.
